Mossley Hill offers organised training nights for runners of all abilities.
Whether you are a beginner or want to train for a marathon you will be made most welcome.
The club has two groups that cover different distances during the training sessions.

Many of our members don’t take part in competitive races and choose to run to get fit and have fun whilst meeting new people.
Racing
Our members compete in many races throughout the year. Our in-house club Championship is comprised of 19 races chosen at the beginning of each year by our club captain Tony Metcalfe.
In 2011 we took part in Run Liverpool events such as the Womens 10k, Liverpool Half Marathon, Tunnel 10k and Liverpool Marathon. We also enjoyed races hosted by other running clubs such as Penny Lane Striders, Liverpool RC and Birkenhead AC. Next year many of our members are looking forward to competing in races organised by Liverpool’s newest runnning club - Bug Runs.
In 2011 we hired transport for the Llandudno, Blackpool and Preston 10 milers. Well done to members such as Bob and Janette who competed in their first ever races. Dan Clark also gave Mossley Hill AC our first ever win at the Blackpool race – finishing in 55 mins!
Each year we also host our own race – the Sefton Park 5 miler. 2011 saw a record 450 entries! Our 2012 race will be on Wednesday 18th July at 7:30pm. Look out for the flyers!
We pride ourselves on being a friendly club that welcomes athletes of all abilities.
Why not join us for training and see for yourself ?
